When is an emergency?

A veterinary emergency is any sudden situation that seriously affects the health or well-being of the animal, can have serious consequences and requires immediate veterinary treatment.

Please note that our mobile veterinary practice can only treat emergencies to a limited extent. In such cases, treatment is only possible after prior telephone consultation (triage).

In serious emergencies* that require further examination or intensive treatment—e.g., after a car accident, severely impaired general health, or severe trauma—we strongly recommend that you waste no time and visit a veterinary clinic as soon as possible. In such cases, we can
only provide first aid .
